- 駢體文大文豪例子：“It is a matter of incontrovertible veracity that the amelioration of societal maladies lies not merely in the augmentation of infrastructural edifices, but in the cultivation of the populace’s moral rectitude.”考官想法：句子太長、字太艱澀，看起來像十九世紀的哲學散文。可讀性差、難以理解，考官覺得你是在「裝腔作勢」。
- 倉頡造字者例子：“Electronic book machine”（想表達 Kindle / e-reader）“Old people house”（想表達 nursing home）考官想法：學生亂造字，結果詞彙不正確又不自然，考官可能要猜你在說什麼 → Lexical Resource 扣分。
- 講古說書人例子：“Since the Industrial Revolution, human society has changed dramatically in every aspect of life.”“In this information explosion era, people face countless challenges every day.”考官想法：這些「八股開頭」和題目毫無關聯，只是浪費篇幅。考官會覺得你在套模板，缺乏思考。
- 跳針跳針叫我姊姊例子：“Homework is necessary because it allows students to review lessons.”“By doing homework, children can go over what they have studied.”“The main advantage of homework is that it helps pupils consolidate knowledge.”考官想法：三句話都是同一個觀點，只是換句話說。考官覺得你沒有足夠的理由支持論點，論證力不足。
- 單字亂用大師例子：“Governments should ameliorate the roads and eradicate traffic jams.”考官想法：ameliorate 和 eradicate 聽起來高級，但搭配錯誤、語氣誇張。正確寫法應該是 improve road conditions、alleviate traffic congestion。這種亂用只會讓文章顯得不自然。
- 空話連篇演講家例子：“Everybody knows that education is very important.”“In fact, health is extremely important for every human being.”考官想法：這些句子空洞無內容，沒有例子或論點支持。文章看起來表面嚴肅，但其實什麼都沒說。
- 時間管理失靈者例子：“In conclusion, this topic is very important and people should think about it carefully. That is all I want to say.”考官想法：結尾草草收尾，沒有重申立場、沒有總結論點。考官會覺得你沒有時間規劃，文章虎頭蛇尾。
